Academic-Industry Networking Event – BGS, Nottingham – Monday 23rd June 2025
The Mineral Deposits Studies Group (MDSG) are hosting an ‘Academic-Industry Networking Event’ at the British Geological Survey (BGS), Keyworth, Nottingham on Monday 23rd June 2025.
This is free, in-person event is aimed at starting conversations and collaborations between academic and industrial parties associated with exploration or mining activities. This event is open to all relevant industrial organisations and any academic eligible to apply for funding and hold a grant in the UK. Each institution / company is limited to two attendees and general tickets are available from 15 May.
The morning session will focus on academic and industrial parties introducing themselves and presenting research questions/ideas for which they would like to find collaborators. The afternoon session will entail group discussions surrounding these research questions and other topical issues, including project delivery discussions to develop new collaborations and project ideas.
